Data Centre Services New Zealand

EIL Global provides Data Centre Smart Hands, Remote Hands, network, server, storage, cabling and infrastructure support across New Zealand, for enterprise, colocation and distributed data centre environments.

Our engineers work inside data halls in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. They act as your hands on site when your NOC, OEM or remote engineering team cannot be there in person, whether that team sits in Auckland, Sydney or further afield.

From a single onsite intervention to dedicated engineers and trans Tasman deployment programs, EIL combines local field resources with centralised service governance and technology enabled delivery through Resolve360.

Where does EIL Global support data centres in New Zealand?

EIL Global supports data centres in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Auckland carries the largest share of the country's colocation and cloud capacity, so that is where most of our planned and break fix work happens.

In Wellington we support enterprise, financial services and public sector environments, including facilities where the customer has arranged cleared or escorted access. Christchurch covers the South Island, and is often the secondary or disaster recovery site for organisations running primary infrastructure in the North Island.

For sites outside these cities, such as regional edge locations, network POPs and cable landing stations, we arrange dispatch based on travel time and the agreed scope.

What technologies does EIL Global support?

EIL engineer working on a laptop beside data centre server racks

EIL Global provides multi vendor Data Centre Smart Hands. Very few data centres run on one manufacturer, and a typical environment may include:

  • Dell or HPE servers
  • Cisco Nexus or Arista switching
  • Juniper networking
  • Fortinet or Palo Alto firewalls
  • NetApp or Pure Storage arrays
  • Multi vendor fibre and copper connectivity

EIL provides the onsite physical engineering layer across these environments, working alongside the customer's NOC, OEMs and remote engineering teams across New Zealand.

That gives customers one field services delivery model across:

  • Compute
  • Network
  • Storage
  • Security
  • Fibre
  • Copper
  • Power
  • Physical Infrastructure

Can EIL cover New Zealand and Australia under one contract?

Yes. Many New Zealand environments are run from an Australian NOC, or form part of a wider trans Tasman estate. A refresh that runs across Auckland, Christchurch and Sydney can be managed as one program, with one point of contact and the same Site Visit Report from every location.

Work is scheduled around each site's local change window in NZST or NZDT, and every engineer works to the same method of procedure. The same model extends to Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong when your estate reaches further into Asia.

Technology enabled Data Centre Field Services

Resolve360 is EIL Global's field service management platform. It runs the operational lifecycle from ticket allocation through to onsite completion.

  • Skill based engineer allocation
  • Location based resource matching
  • Geo enabled technician management
  • ETA visibility
  • Mobile work orders
  • Digital Site Visit Reports
  • SLA monitoring
  • Customer feedback
  • Operational dashboards
  • Service reporting

Resolve360 is used as part of EIL's field service delivery model and can support integration with customer ITSM environments where technically and commercially agreed.

Flexible Data Centre Delivery Models
